Intarsia, to those who are unaware, is sort of like a puzzle for adults and woodworkers. By piecing together serveral parts and contouring the edges of those pieces, varying the stain colors (or types of wood), and then affixing all pieces to a backboard, depth is acheived. The dolphin intarsia project these patterns will help you create is 10" high by about 14" long. Full size patterns are provided. 15 pieces.

Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Keep your stains and glues from freezing in your non-heated workshop by storing them in a plastic food cooler. Neat! Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Welcome fellow woodworker! Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.
