A handsome 1870s, vintage fire truck that is inspired by the Amoskeag Company’s self-powered firefighting apparatus. It’s from an era just after horse drawn wagons and just before gasoline engines. A chain drive from the steam pump turned the rear wheels. Features working steering, toolboxes, lanterns and a drive chain. Patterns are included for the display base and plaque text. A copy of an original maintenance checklist from early fire engines is included as a bonus. Requires a little lathe work. Multiple colored hardwoods or stains add a nice touch. A classic display piece for home, office, or fire station.

Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer. Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags.
