Great project that used to be the standard farm playset for generations. It's a great project for the beginning woodworker and kids always love it. You get patterns for making the big barn, a tractor and wagon, horses, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens and ducks, plus fencing. Barn measures 21" long, 15" wide, 14" tall.

Full size patterns are included for all pieces, along with a painting guide for all pictured, a list of materials you need, and there are also instructions and photos to help you out along the way. Classic wooden toy, great for imaginations.

Extend the life of your tack cloths by putting them in baby food jars or ziplock storage bags. White pencils are very useful in woodworking...they make easy to see lines on darker wood stocks. Keep your saw blades clean at all times. A gooey blade can cause dangerous kick back. Petroleum jelly and cooking oils make perfect inexpensive, non-toxic light stains for projects. The tips of different sizes of nails can be used as drill bits, working well on most wood stocks. If you have to bend small pieces of wood, wrap them in a damp towel and put them in the microwave for 2 minutes on high -- be certain no metal is present. Measure twice, cut once -- the paramount rule of building! Keep your table saw push stick close at hand by fastening it to the front of your saw table with velcro or magnets so you can quickly grab it when needed. Wipe the clear sheild of your safety glasses with a dryer static cling sheet -- it will keep sawdust from sticking to them! Use a moist cloth to slightly dampen your hands before feeding stock through a cutter -- it gives you a much better grip on the stock. Dented wood can often be repaired by heating a damp cloth with an iron over the dent...the wood will expand, filling the hole. Cloths used to wipe stain can be safely air dried in a well ventilated area away from pets and children. Easily remove rusted screws by heating the head with a soltering iron -- it will expand, then contract making it easy to remove. Covering the back side of sandpaper with duct tape will make it last MUCH longer.
